Clause I: Organisation

AIRBUS SAS a simplified shareholding company having its registered office at 1 rond-point Maurice Bellonte, 31707 Blagnac cedex, has organised a game entitled "#A380 REASONS" to take place from 15th November to 15th December 2017 (at 23:59, one minute to midnight Paris time).

Clause II: Participation

Participation in this game entails no obligation to purchase and it is open to any adult across the world (except for employees and representatives of the organising company, its partners and subcontractors and their advisers and members of their family) with access to the Internet and a valid email address. Participation is limited to one per household (with the same name and same address). Participation is strictly on an individual named basis and players cannot in any event play on behalf of other participants. Proof of identity or of residence may be requested at any time during the game. Any incomplete or illegible participation in the game sent after the time limit or in another form than that required will be considered as being null and void. Every participant agrees to not send any photographs that they have not taken themselves. Where this is the case and where the true author of a photograph makes any legal claim against the organising company, it reserves the right to make a legal claim against the participant who supplied this photograph. Photographs are to be in GIF, JPEG, JPG or PNG format with a maximum size of 4Mb and 4032x4032 pixels.

Clause III: Arrangements

To take part, players are to take a photograph on board an A380 and publish this photograph either directly on their Instagram account with #A380reasons, accompanied by comments, or by uploading the photographs to the organisers game page at with their message.
  • Players taking part via Instagram will receive a message directly on their account asking them to validate their participation. Their personal information will also be requested.
  • The criteria for selecting winners will be as follows: the digital quality of the photograph and its originality.

Participants will have the possibility of sharing their participation in the game on social networks (Facebook, Twitter) and they will be automatically selected to take part in a draw.

Uploaded photos will be subject to moderation by the the organisers within a maximum time limit of 72 hours, to avoid any inappropriate content.

At the end of the game 12 winners will be named in the following classifications:

- Named by a jury (1 prize)
A jury comprising members of the organising company will name the winning photograph based on the selection criteria set out above.

- Named by internet users (1 prize)
Photos published will be submitted for voting by internet users. To vote you need to go to the game site at, where you must complete all of the fields requested and then vote directly for your favourite photograph. Only 1 vote per photograph and per person will be accepted throughout the period of the game. Purchasing or exchanging of votes will not be authorised. Where such behaviour is shown to exist, the participant involved will be automatically eliminated. To ensure fairness between all participants, the organisation may at any time during the game verify the capacity of voters to vote. In this respect it reserves the right to ask for proof of identity and/or address from voters whose vote appears suspicious. Votes which are fraudulent or for which no proof is provided will be cancelled. The photograph with the most votes from internet users will win a prize. Each voter will be automatically selected to participate in the draw.

10 winners will be named by draw, carried out by court bailiffs, from all of those voting.

Clause IV: Prizes

This game has the following 12 prizes:

Internet user vote: 1 iPhone X in space grey - 64GB, with a value of €1,159 inclusive of VAT

Chosen by the jury:
A Leica LEICA X camera with vintage case (with a total value of €1940 inclusive of VAT)

Draw from voters' entries:
1st to 10th Prizes: A model A380 with a value of €30 inclusive of VAT

Clause V: Announcing winners

On the one hand, a jury comprising of members of Airbus staff will name a winner from amongst the valid participations, according to the selection criteria set out in Clause III. On the other hand, the photograph receiving the most votes will also be rewarded. Finally, a draw from amongst voters will be carried out by Maitre Bru, Court bailiff, or one of his partners, in the week following the end of the game and will name the 10 winners. All winners will be informed by AIRBUS SAS of the results by email. Where there is no reply from them within eight days from confirmation of their winning, winners will be disqualified and their prize will be lost, as set out in Clause X, and allocated to the first of the named alternates. Prizes are not reimbursable in cash, no other consideration of any sort will be available and they are not transferable. However in the case of an event of force majeure, AIRBUS SAS reserves the right to replace the named prizes by prizes of equivalent value. Participants are to elect the place of residence at the address shown on the Game Entry Form for the prize to be sent. Winners authorise all verifications relating to their identity and place of residence (postal address and/or Internet address). Any false information relating to identity or address will result in the winner's entry and all of their participations being cancelled.

Clause VI: Legal filing

These rules are filed via with Bornecque Winandy-Bru Nifosi SCP, court bailiffs in partnership at 15, Passage du Marquis de la Londe - 78000 - Versailles. These rules may be changed at any time in the form of an amendment by the organizer, complying with the terms and conditions set out, and published by notice online on the site. The amendment is registered with the court bailiffs in partnership who are depositories for these rules before the publication. It will come into force at the time of being published online and all Participants will be deemed to have accepted it by the simple fact of the participation in the Game from the date that the amendment comes into force. Any Participant refusing any amendment(s) shall cease to take part in the Game. These rules may be sent, without cost, to any person making application in writing by mail before the closing date of the game to the following address:

The full rules may also be consulted online on the game site. Any postal costs necessary to obtain these rules will be reimbursed by simple request on the basis of the slow rate letter in force.

Clause VII: Reimbursement of game costs

Where expenses are incurred, participants may obtain repayment of costs relating to their estimated playing time from a fixed telephone at France Telecom rate, on the basis of a three-minute connection at reduced rate of 0.15 Euros. Applications for reimbursement are to be sent by mail to the game address (see Clause VI) accompanied by a bank account details and a detailed invoice in the name of the participant, showing the date and time of connection, no later than 30 days after the date that the game closes, the postmark on the envelope being the proof of posting. Costs incurred by the participant for the stamp necessary for this application will be repaid upon request on the basis of the slow rate letter in force. One single application for repayment per participant registered to play and per envelope (same name, same address) will be acceptable. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Given current offers of service and technology, some Internet providers offer free or fixed connection to internet users, it is expressly agreed that if the access to the site is on a free or fixed basis (as with connection by cable, ADSL or special link) then the participant will not qualify for reimbursement insofar as the subscription to the provider is entered into, in this case, by the internet user for the use of the Internet in general and the fact of the participant connecting to the site and participating in the game does not result any additional cost or disbursement to them.

Clause VIII: Connection and use

Participation implies knowledge and acceptance of the characteristics and limits of the Internet, though being no protection for certain data against possible misuse or pirating and the risks of contamination by any viruses on the network.
AIRBUS SAS will not be liable in the event of improper use or a problem related to use of a computer, access to Internet, maintenance or malfunction of game servers, telephone lines or any other digital connection and game Forms sent to a wrong or incomplete address.

Article IX: Disputes and liability

Participation in this game implies unreserved acceptance of these rules in full. Where one or more of the provisions in these General Rules is declared null and void or non-applicable, the other provisions will remain in force. In the event of any difference between the version of the rules filed with the Court bailiff and the version of the rules accessible online, only the version found with the Court Bailiff will be valid. Any inaccurate or misleading declaration or any fraud will result in disqualification of the participant. AIRBUS SAS alone will decide on any dispute relating to the game and its settlement in agreement with Bornecque Winandy-Bru Nifosi, court bailiffs in partnership. No questions will be answered on the telephone or in writing relating to the interpretation or application of these rules, the mechanisms or arrangements and the list of winners. In the event of dispute only a registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt will be accepted within a time limit of one month from the results being issued. AIRBUS SAS reserves the right, where circumstances so require, to shorten, extend, change or cancel this game in compliance with Clause VI. It will not be liable as a result of this. AIRBUS SAS may cancel or suspend all or part of the game where it appears that frauds have been committed in any form whatsoever, particularly in relation to computer use in the context of participation in the game. In this event it reserves the right not to award prizes to the defrauding person and/or to pursue the perpetrators of these frauds before those courts having jurisdiction.

This game is not hosted by the Internet sites Facebook or Twitter Inc, nor by the Instagram application. Each Participant shall however comply with their conditions of use. The Participant acknowledges moreover that they have been informed of the general conditions of use and the confidentiality policy of Internet Sites Facebook and Twitter Inc and the Instagram application, which can be consulted directly on their sites. The Facebook registered office is situated at: 1601 S. California Ave., Palo Alto, CA 94304, that of Twitter Inc. at : 1355 Market Street, Suite 900 San Francisco, CA 94103, and that of Instagram at: 1601 Willow Road., Menlo Park, CA 94025. AIRBUS SAS will not be liable for either the content or use of Facebook and Twitter Inc sites nor for the Instagram application. In the same way, the participant discharges it from all liability as to the organisation of this game and declares that they have full knowledge that Facebook, Twitter Inc and Instagram are neither its managers nor sponsors. In this respect written discharge may be requested atany time during the game. Personal data collected during the Game is for AIRBUS SAS.

Clause X: Personal data

The Organiser collects the personal data shown on the online registration form (first name and surname, email address) in order to manage, administrate and promote the game and to distribute prizes (to correctly register participation, determine winners and award and send prizes).

All information requested on the registration form is obligatory to participate in the Game. Participants may make objections for legitimate reasons to the collection of personal data. In this case, the Organiser cannot include their entry.

Protection of private life in terms of processing personal data is an important issue that we address with special attention during our procedures, which is why the Organiser protects and ensures the security of Participants’ personal information. In this context and pursuant to Group Policy (CDS-118) for the protection of personal information, Airbus takes all appropriate precautions in conformity with European regulations relating to the protection of personal data which ensures a suitable level of protection for the supervision of international data transfer under restrictive rules (BCR or Binding Corporate Rules), approved by the European Union authorities for the national protection of data and by standard contractual provisions adopted by the European Commission.

This information is provided to the Organiser and may be transferred to its technical staff and to any service provider carrying out the dispatch of prizes.

Where, in registering for the Game, the Participant has agreed, by ticking the related box, to receive marketing emails, the Organiser and related companies using the Airbus trademark may contact the Participant periodically and send them information, offers, products and services by email that might be of interest to them. For direct marketing purposes, Participants' personal information (first name and surname, email address) will be collected and provided to other organisations which supply the Organiser with specialist services of data linking, trend analysis and marketing. The Organiser may also use targeted marketing, with data matching and with online audiences, and market segmentation to improve the relevance of advertising. 

Participants may request that their names are deleted from the Organiser's records. It will be deemed that Participants requesting that their names be deleted from files before the end of the Game have waived their participation.

Participants also have a right to access, correct and update their personal information at the time that it is processed.

Participants may also oppose processing of their personal information for marketing purposes, without cost. 

To do this they are to contact Airbus by letter at the following address: Airbus S.A.S, Responsable de la protection des données, BP B80-W14, W192, 2 rond-point Emile Dewoitine, BP 90112, 31703 Blagnac cedex, or by email to, attaching a document of proof of their identity and stating precisely the right which they intend to exercise.

Clause XI: Awarding Prizes

By accepting their prize, winners authorise AIRBUS SAS to use their surname, first name, postal address or internet address in all advertising and promotions relating to this Game without this use giving rise to any consideration whatsoever other than the prize which has been won, for a maximum term of two years. AIRBUS SAS will not be liable for any late delivery, loss, damage, lack oflegibility of postmarks because of the postal services occurring at the time of delivering prizes. Prizes which have not been claimed as a result of postal delays or returned within 30 calendar days of their being sent will be lost for the Participant and will remain the property of AIRBUS SAS. Winners waive claim against the organising company for any compensation arising from any damage or loss resulting from acceptance and/or use of the prize.

Article XII: Photographic and video rights

Participation in the Game results in the assignment of photographic rights and implies that they are original creations which are free of rights. In the context of this competition, Participants assign to the organising company and any of its partners the right to distribute, reproduce, represent and adapt their photograph for any exploitation on any media (electronic, clipboard, exposition, projection etc.) without consideration. This authorisation for exploitation is granted for a term of 2 (two) years from the point of approval of their participation. These photographs shall not be obscene, violent, dangerous, racist, contrary to the public interest or liable to damage the development of underaged persons or threaten the dignity of any person. The Participant warrants that they hold all authorisations relating to the use of their photograph for commercial and advertising purposes.

Clause XIII: Agreement as to Proof

Except in any case of clear error, it is agreed that information arising from AIRBUS SAS Game systems has evidential value in any dispute in relation to elements of connection and computer processing of the said information relating to the Game

Clause XIV: Attribution of jurisdiction

The Participants are subject to French legislation applicable to games and competitions. Any dispute which cannot be settled amicably will be submitted to those courts having jurisdiction appointed according to the Civil Procedural Code.

Article XV: Personal Data Protection

Personal information collected in the context of this Game will be treated in compliance with the Personal Data Privacy law n°78-17 dated 6 January 1978. All Participants in the Game, and their legal representatives where they are under-age, have a right to access and correct data relating to the pursuant to Article 27 of this law. Any application for access, correction or opposition is to be sent to AIRBUS SAS.

Clause XVI: Copyright

Pursuant to legislation governing copyright, reproduction and representation of all or part of the elements comprising this Game are strictly prohibited. The trademarks mentioned are trademarks which have been filed by their respective owners.
