It’s Got its Own Zen Gardens
If you want to chill out a little during your time at Dubai International Airport, head to the Zen gardens at Terminal 3 which are made up of a fish pond with trickling water, lush trees and benches. And if you’re travelling with kids, there’s also a play area to help keep them busy while you relax.
There’s an Entire Terminal Dedicated to the A380
Terminal 3’s Concourse A, which opened in 2013, is the world’s only purpose-built facility for the A380. It is 90 metres wide, 645 metres long and has 11 floors, some of which are underground. It can be enjoyed by up to 19 million passengers a year, and features the world’s first multi-level boarding for First and Business Class passengers directly from their lounges.1
You Can Sleep in... ‘Snooze Cubes’!
Staying overnight – or at least long enough for a sleep at Dubai International Airport ? You can stay in the Dubai International Hotel or opt for a more adventurous solution: a ‘snooze cube’! It’s a kind of pod… but with free Wi-Fi, a touchscreen TV and somewhere to hang your coat.
It’s the Number One Airport for International Passengers
Dubai International Airport welcomed 88.2 million passengers in 2017, averaging 7.35 million passengers per year, according to operator Dubai Airports2. This means it sees more international passengers pass through than any other airport in the world - hence the exceptional passenger services on offer. 106 airlines fly out of DXB to 206 destinations worldwide.
You Can Get Fit While You Wait
You can use the G-Force gym in the Dubai International Hotel even if you aren’t staying overnight. As well as the gym, there are also private shower rooms, toiletries and hair dryers, as well as saunas, steam rooms and a swimming pool. It’s a great way to reenergize between flights.
